Got in a $3 private bounty game over at Full Tilt to kill some time, and took 2nd place over a whopping field of 6. Took out 2 players on one hand to get to the money, so I was clinched a profit once down to 3 (yeah, 6-man tourney paid 3 lol). Was generally pretty happy with my play and my reads - amazing how many times I was getting outflopped by "any-ace" players.
Hand that set me on tilt while HU went down like this - holding K-7 in the SB (blinds 100/200 - chip counts just about even), I raised to 600. BB called. Flop comes 6-7-6, and I bet out 800...quick call. Ace on the turn doesn't deter me, and I make a bet of 1,000, which is quickly called. 10 on the river doesn't seem to help anyone, so I bet another 1,200 as a value bet...other player thinks for a bit, goes into time bank, then calls with Q-10. No straight or flush draw out there, either...aye yi yi!
Later he explained that he was planning to steal on the river...although I wonder how playing calling station is "stealing on the river". I told the dude, "Nice play...can't imagine how you have a -40% ROI on SnGs when you're making plays like that", then 2 hands later jammed J-2 (but it was a working deuce!) into 9-9, gg me!
